Fast‑Track Your Accent: Connected Speech Shadowing Session.
The 1-Minute RP Workout.
A few tips on pronunciation and connected speech. Firstly, link in sounds naturally, i. e. quite and smoothly.
Secondly, think about light and stop ‘Ts’ and other final sounds. Don’t over-punch them. It should be quite soft and gentle, not strong.
Thirdly, a schwa magic! Some words, kind of float, together.
And finally, don’t forget about your intonation. In these examples I’m using contours which help me sound matter of fact, and down to earth. I mean business.

Improving RP Articulation & Your Character Voice.
We won't start with single sounds. Instead, we'll use a method called "shadowing." You'll listen to me speak and then repeat right after me. (It may take a long time to understand if you practice alone.) Just copy me.
Before we start, here are some important tips:
1) Listen to the 'music' of the utterance. Listen to how my voice goes up and down. This is important for Russian speakers.
2) Watch my mouth. See how my mouth moves and try to copy it. It is very different from your language. Pay attention to the natural English rhythm.
3) Speak very clearly. English has many vowel sounds - about 15! Russian has
only
4) So you must be very careful with each sound. For front vowels, the tongue body is positioned forward in the mouth. This forward position is achieved primarily through the action of the muscles, which. The tongue blade is raised towards the alveolar ridge.
Okay, let's begin! I will speak clearly and correctly, although changing the sounds a little to make them flow together like native English speakers do. This is called "connected speech." Just follow me!
1. I enjoy learning English every day.
2. English is fun to practice.
(Is this speed OK?. Awesome)
3. I believe I can speak English well.
4. I will keep going step by step.
(Brilliant! Let's continue!)
5. Mistakes help me grow.
6. I am patient with my learning.
(Great! Let's complete the last two sentences for today.)
7. I am not afraid to speak English.
8. This is just the beginning.
I hope that helps.

It's nonchalant. Nonchalant. It's light and breezy, as if you could care less, which is the point of RP. Now, its meaning is calm, relaxed, unconcerned, usually in situations when others may be flapping around like started pigeons.
"She gave a nonchalant shrug when asked about her perfect pronunciation."
"Despite the chaos around him, he remained completely nonchalant." "He
nonchalantly corrected his friend's pronunciation."
So, say it slowly at first. Non-sha-lant. You could also add a casual shrug for the full effect to nonchalant. RP speakers often use words like nonchalant to sound elegant and understated. And if you say correctly, you sound more sophisticated and slightly mysterious.
Have a good day. Bye. Do it nonchalantly.
